[He's thinking, trying to stay calm while Goro loses it in his arms.]

"On behalf of the woman you killed and the child you destroyed, the Phantom Thieves" blah blah blah. If he's half as smart as you, he'd know.

[ it... could work.

it's terrifying how easily that could work. before meeting akira, before meeting morgana, killing had been the easiest option. but having shido confess to all his sins? having him publicly embarrass himself and rot in jail? maybe, just maybe, justice really does matter. maybe he could reach justice that way. ]

.... All right.

[ it's a tiny whisper that sounds more like the fifteen year old boy that was given a loaded gun and told to kill than the black mask. ]

[Why does he feel like he just talked someone off the edge? Akira sighs in relief, still holding tightly to Goro.]

I promise, Goro, we'll take him down. Maybe not right away--we need to figure out this Medjed thing first--but he's going to hell just like the rest of them.

[ mmmm. ]

We'll need to keep you out of the limelight. If he realizes the Thieves are an actual threat, he'll order me to kill you with a very thin deadline.

....well, handling Medjed's going to do the exact opposite of that, but we can just lie low after that.

[Hopefully.]

And if not, we'll just go after him before the deadline or...something, but that's later. Right now, there's curry and I know you have soda around here somewhere.

Of course.

[ ... it's quiet, and it's gentle, but the next moment truly does matter, because he hugs akira very gently and lets the tip of his nose brush against akira's ear. ]

[And Akira just holds Goro. He'll let the other decide when to part.]

We're friends, after all.

[ his friend. his first friend. he'll linger just a moment longer, trying to ignore the way his eyes itch and sting with redness. he refuses to cry. ]

...The curry smells great. Thank you.

[ and he'll pull away, clearing his throat and smoothing the front of his shirt to regain his composure. ]

Hopefully it tastes just as good. I made it myself.

[He smiles and turns back to the food to give Goro some time]

Sojiro's been teaching me, but this isn't his recipe.

[ he graciously will take the bowl and then have a seat at his table. after trying a bite, his expression visibly lifts and brightens. ]

You're quite the cook. No wonder you have half of the team tripping over themselves to spend time with you.

[ more than half, probably. he's seen the way ann's stares linger and the way yusuke, oblivious as all hell, still stands closer to akira than anyone else in the party. ]

Ah, it's got nothing to do with that. They just like my company.

[He joins Goro at the table, smiling]

Too bad it's all yours.

I'd politely beg to differ.

[ no he's not jealous that's stupid - ]

...What's all mine? [ the curry?????? ]

[jurisdick]

[ his ears are turning pink. ]

While I appreciate that you're committed to being best friends - ah - I don't think you should limit yourself to not pursuing a person [ just say it ] romantically on my account.

[....wait a second.

Has he not...

Did he somehow miss...?]

Who said I was?

[jurisdick]

[ a blink. ]

...Isn't that what you just said?

[ he's confused. ]

I said all my attention was yours. I didn't say I wasn't looking for a boyfriend.

[jurisdick]

[ bliiiiiiiink. ]

....That hardly seems fair to the person you're looking to date.

[He has somehow missed Akira's growing boner for him oh gods.]

Not if the person who has all my attention and the person I like are the same one.

[ of course he missed it.

being an ace detective regarding evidence and facts was easy. those didn't involve emotions. emotions are... harder.

he blinks a few more times before it clicks finally and he blushes even harder. he doesn't say anything for a moment, eying the curry, his own hands, the countertop, everything besides akira. he's special enough to akira that he'd - ?

he reaches out and gently takes akira's wrist. ] Follow me.

[ it's an absolute order, his bangs hiding his eyes, as he stands. ]

[Please don't throw him out.

Akira follows, more than a little bemused.]

Goro?

[jurisdick]

[ he stops right outside his bedroom, of course. ]

....I didn't think the kitchen was an appropriate setting.

[ he says it slowly, as if rationalizing it all aloud will make it better. he awkwardly clears his throat before finally looking back at akira. his free hand nervously threads back into akira's hair and he leans forward to kiss him with zero confidence. ]

...oh!

[Akira chuckles a little, letting Goro initiate the kiss. It takes all of two seconds before he takes control, though, pulling the other boy close and cupping his cheek.]

[jurisdick]

[ he's going to shyly lean against him, fngertips curling at the base of akira's neck as he deepens the kiss. please send help akira he has no idea how to do this. ]

[He's got this. After a moment of letting Goro try to deepen the kiss, Akira steps forward to pin Goro to the wall (gently!) and deepen it instead. Just follow him.]
