[ he stops right outside his bedroom, of course. ]

....I didn't think the kitchen was an appropriate setting.

[ he says it slowly, as if rationalizing it all aloud will make it better. he awkwardly clears his throat before finally looking back at akira. his free hand nervously threads back into akira's hair and he leans forward to kiss him with zero confidence. ]

...oh!

[Akira chuckles a little, letting Goro initiate the kiss. It takes all of two seconds before he takes control, though, pulling the other boy close and cupping his cheek.]

[ he's going to shyly lean against him, fngertips curling at the base of akira's neck as he deepens the kiss. please send help akira he has no idea how to do this. ]

[He's got this. After a moment of letting Goro try to deepen the kiss, Akira steps forward to pin Goro to the wall (gently!) and deepen it instead. Just follow him.]

[ he most definitely gasps into the kiss, fingers tightening in akira's hair. he decidedly likes being against a wall, he realizes, lips parting on their own accord. ]

[Much better. Akira slowly coaxes his lips open a little further, pressing closer and gripping Goro's waist tighter as they kiss. It's sloppy--Akira's not that much more skilled than Goro, honestly--but it's just perfect right now. It's what they both need.]

[jurisdick]

[ It's electric - his heart leaps at the squeeze - and he feels a bit of boldness as he swipes his tongue against Akira's bottom lip and then gently bites it. ]

[That gets Akira to gasp and break the kiss, though only out of surprise and not revulsion. His face is flushed and his glasses are a little steamed up, but he seems happy]

Well.

....Yes.

[ he clears his throat, fingers nervously tapping along the nape of akira's neck. he nervously flicks his gaze away. ]

You know, we should do that more often.

[jurisdick]

I .... wouldn't be opposed to that.

[ if we're being honest. ]

Maybe not in the middle of dinner after an emotional conversation, though.

[ a laugh. ]

I'll pick a better time in the future.

[Akira grins and it's Joker's cocky smirk, not just his normal shy little lip quirk.]

[ is that a challenge - ]

You're welcome to spend the night.

Mind if I run out to get a toothbrush, then?

[ ... well toothbrushes are important, so. ]

Go right ahead.

[fiftyfour]

Be right back. I'll grab some dessert, too.

[He leans in to steal a kiss before heading down to the nearest store.

[ ... he's going to clean up in the meantime. and not pace back and forth in his hallway, restlessly messing with his hair. was that it? were they dating now? had he really just decided to allow akira to help him enact his revenge? had all that just really happened.

he ignores the buzzing of his phone, already knowing it's a text from shido, already knowing it's about a meeting tomorrow night. he doesn't check and instead he goes about splashing cold water in his face. once, twice, three times, knuckles turning white against the edge of the sink.

keep it together. he's always been able to keep it together before this. ]

[It takes Akira a little while but soon he's back at the apartments. Goro's door apparently self locks, so he has to knock and hope Goro meant everything that happened in the hallway.

He really hopes he did.]

[ he answers the door quickly enough. thankfully, he had worked his nerves out with cold water so he's feeling a bit better and a lot less pale. he can do this - whatever this is. ]

Sorry, wasn't sure if you'd like regular or fancy cheesecake.

[He holds up the bag. The condoms are safely tucked in Akira's schoolbag, which he also took with him.]

So I got both.

[ so safe, akira. so safe. ]

Both are fine, thank you.

[ he's amused by it. it's kind of cute. he politely takes the bag and brings it back to the kitchen to grab some plates and forks. ]

Hey, the only reason I didn't get the wine to go with it is I don't think they'd sell it to me.

[He sets his schoolbag down and follows after Goro, smiling.]

...does this mean I can finally make the joke about your Crow mask I've been wanting to since I saw it?

[jurisdick]

[ that i'm a liar? he thinks, blandly, to himself as he takes a set at the counter, setting the plates down gently and placing the cheesecake on them accordingly. forks are now set, too, and he wonders how long he can savor this moment. ]
