noizless [ it's been... quite the adjustment, going from one culture to the next.
true, noiz had grown up in germany and spent the last few months there, but reintegrating back into life entirely was hard. especially when he had someone else at his side who he was fully intent on taking care of. that wasn't to say he wouldn't let aoba get a job if he wanted to, but noiz made it his personal duty, his personal goal, to make life as comfortable as possible for aoba. which meant getting express delivery of anything aoba couldn't fit on the plane over for their cozy apartment, introducing aoba to his brother (and then finally family, after much anxiety over the entire ordeal).
things were, without sounding cliche, pretty damn perfect in his eyes. the pseudousagi were getting used to their second master already and kept to bouncing around him whenever noiz had to go into work early for meetings or spend late nights in the office. he didn't have the heart to bring them to work with him and always left them next to a sleeping aoba, tuning them to a setting that would alert him if anything strange happened back at the apartment.
hell, he was even getting used to ren and no longer saw him as an old, roughened up model. no, he was more like a pet. more like family, in that weird way where a dog or a cat becomes a true family member to most people.
things were actually, pretty, normal.
except at lunch at work his brother had asked, one fine day, if he and aoba were going vacationing soon, and if so, where. noiz hadn't really had an answer, because why would they vacation somewhere? their home was their perfect, warm spot in the world... and of course, when he answered with that, his brother had smiled and mumbled something about honeymoons. and it made noiz wonder, why aren't we? there was no reason, at least on his end, why they weren't. he just hadn't thought about it. his mind worked differently than normal peoples' did, he jumped steps and skipped others... engagement had never occurred to him.
but the idea that aoba wasn't 100% his, officially, poked and prodded at him. aoba was just his boyfriend. aoba wasn't his fiance or husband.
but he'd change that.... somehow. maybe. ]
